Dave is an adventurer who has travelled over 16,000 miles as part of the groundbreaking Expedition1000 project: 25 journeys of 1000 miles or more, each using a different form of non-motorised transport. He’s completed 8 of these so far, including a record-breaking solo descent of the Mississippi on a stand up paddle board, and a 1001 mile swim down the Missouri River. He’s penned three books, broken six world records and delivered presentations about his outlandish escapades on six continents. His passionate advocacy of the word YES has contributed to the sprouting of countless adventures worldwide, big and small. He joins us in place of Paul Steele, who had to be with his family at a time when they needed him.
